The following terms apply to all services provided by Sam’s Small Moves.
Insurance & Liability
Under the Motor Vehicle Act of British Columbia, items packed and handled by Sam’s Small Moves are insured up to $1.32 per kilogram.
Items not packed by us are not insured.
All claims are subject to a $250 deductible.
High-Value & Restricted Items
We do not transport or handle items of extraordinary or high value, including but not limited to:
- Jewelry
- Cash
- Artwork
- Electronics of high value
- Important documents or collectibles
Customers are responsible for transporting these items themselves.
Scheduling & Timing
Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed.
Sam’s Small Moves is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Traffic conditions
- Weather conditions
- Delays at a prior job
- Building access issues (elevators, loading zones, parking)
We provide estimated arrival windows and will communicate delays when possible.
Access & Job Conditions
Pricing and service availability depend on:
- Accessibility of the pickup location
- Presence of stairs or elevators
- Distance from parking/loading areas
- Accuracy of information provided by the customer
Additional charges may apply if job conditions differ from what was originally described.
Junk Removal Disclaimer
For junk removal services:
- Items are recycled, donated, or disposed of at approved facilities whenever possible
- We do not remove hazardous, toxic, or restricted materials, including:
- Paint
- Chemicals
- Asbestos
- Construction debris (drywall, concrete, soil, bricks)
Acceptance of Terms
By booking services with Sam’s Small Moves, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
